Tactical backpacks remain a popular piece of gear for many gun owners. They bring quality features, including durability, reliability, and more importantly, versatility. For those in the market for a new backpack, one well-made and stylish, we look at five of the best tactical backpacks for women, built to help you carry your most precious and essential everyday items.

Best Tactical Backpacks for Women

5.11 Tactical Rush 12 2.0 Backpack 24L

One of the first backpacks that I recommend is the 5.11 Tactical Rush 12 2.0 Backpack 24L. In the main compartment, this pack’s design features a padded sleeve for 15-inch laptops, along with dual-zippered mesh pockets for extra storage. A fleece-lined eyewear/media pocket helps keep those items safe from cosmetic damage. A water-repellant 1050D nylon construction blends with external front and side web MOLLE.

Now, a feature that I loved the most about the Rush 12 12.0 24L is the hidden CCW compartment, which was great for keeping my firearm secure and safe from wandering fingers and eyes. Moreover, the front lower pocket on this pack contains internal slip and zippered pockets, as well as admin organization. Overall, this system holds lots of items, proving great for use in all types of activities. The MSRP on this backpack is $110. (511Tactical.com)

Mission First Tactical Achro 30L EDC SLICK

Now, if you require a backpack that is a bit more spacious and allows you to blend in with your surroundings, I recommend the Achro 30L EDC SLICK by Mission First Tactical. This backpack helps keep you organized, with the pockets and compartments to prove it. The front storage pocket allows storage of multiple EDC items, deigned with a water-resistant liner to aid in visibility.

Moreover, the main compartment of this pack features plenty of pouches and zippered pockets to hold all the personal belongings of your choosing. Based on this design, I find this backpack great to use as a carry on. Furthermore, the back of this pack also has a designated area to store your laptop or tablet.

Much like the Rush 12 2.0 Backpack, this pack has a dedicated CCW compartment but also includes a removable MFT Multi Mount Platform, which allows you to holster your firearm safely and securely. Overall, my favorite feature about this apparel is how comfortable it is to carry based on the design of the padded shoulder straps and the padded back panel.

However, if you love the look of the 30L backpack but are opting for a smaller size, I recommend the Achro 22L EDC SLICK backpack. Similar to the 30L backpack, this gear offers the same comfort, same style and same design that is ready for all types of adventures. The MSRP on the Achro 30L EDC Slick backpack is $179.99, while the MSRP on the Achro 22L EDC Slick Backpack is $149.99. (missionfirsttactical.com)

Vertx Ready Pack

For individuals that prefer gear you can easily customize to fit your needs, the Ready Pack by Vertx is a great option to consider. On the front of this bag there are two separate compartments to store all of your necessities. Both compartments are designed with loop fabric, but the larger compartment has MOLLE webbing for extra organization. Plus, on the smaller pocket there is also an additional zippered pouch for extra storage. As for the main compartment on this pack, there is a padded laptop sleeve, a zippered mesh pouch and loop fabric, which includes a removable Tactigami Double Admin Panel accessory.

Vertx Ready Pack

For comfortability, this backpack also features a 3-D molded back panel and padded waist straps. However, I find that my favorite feature by far on this gear is the EDC compartment on the back of this pack because you can customize and organize as you see fit. To allow you to access your items quickly, Vertx crafted this bag with a Rapid Access Pull cord which can be easily removed. The MSRP of the Ready Pack is $205.99.

Vertx Kesher Pack

Now, if you require a backpack that is more on the casual side but able to adjust its appearance depending on the environment, I recommend the Kesher Pack. This gear is designed with dual flap openings and even features the ability to switch from a backpack to a left- or right-handed sling. It is important to note that the main area of this gear as well as the front compartment are both crafted with loop panel so you can attach different Tactigami accessories and other hook-and-loop compatible accessories. A few Tactigami accessories that work well for both bags are the Mini Organizational Pouch, the Modular Laptop Sleeve, the MPH Sub, and the Mak Lok.

Vertx Kesher Pack

In addition to this pack, the main compartment has a laptop sleeve. There is also an admin compartment with a zippered mesh pocket and two pen sleeves. I found a unique design about this backpack that instantly caught my eye is the rapid magnetic clip closure. For me personally, it was a nice touch and really enhanced the look of this apparel. Similar to the Ready Pack, there is an EDC compartment on the back of this apparel with loop panel. The MSRP of the Kesher Pack is $213.95. (vertx.com)

Overall, each pack that I have listed went above and beyond to check off all the boxes on what it means to be a good backpack. They were fashionable, comfortable to carry, durable, and more importantly could fit a wide variety of items with no issues. At the end of the day, I could not recommend these tactical backpacks enough and am happy I have this gear by my side ready to tackle whatever life throws at me.
