Boasting the same Bomar-style adjustable sights as the SR1911 Target model, the new full-size, stainless steel SR1911 in 10mm Auto features a tight-fitting, bushingless bull barrel, which is a first for Ruger. The ramped barrel is coated in black nitride, helping to reduce the wear commonly associated with 10mm Auto ammo. Also included is rubberized grip panels for more control and comfort.
The American-made, CNC-machined model comes with Ruger’s Series 70 design; lowered and flared ejection port; titanium firing pin; and a precision-machined bull barrel. An integral plunger tube; beavertail grip safety; extended magazine release; oversize thumb safety; skeletonized hammer and skeletonized aluminum trigger round out the features.
Weighing in at just 40.4 ounces with an empty magazine, the Ruger SR1911 in 10mm Auto comes with a five-inch barrel and ships with two, 8-round magazines, as well as a cable locking device. MSRP is $1,019.
