Browning has announced the BAR MK 3, an updated version of its BAR autoloading rifle, new for 2016. This new model features a new receiver profile and engraving, in addition to a new stock and forearm design.
According to the press release, the lightweight alloy receiver boasts a satin nickel finish with high-relief engraving and is drilled and tapped for scope mounts. Meanwhile, the stock and forearm are Grade II walnut with cut checkering and an oil finish.
The new BAR MK 3 from Browning will be available in 243 Win., 7mm-08 Rem., 308 Win., 270 Win., and 30-06 Sprg. with 22′ barrel length; 270 WSM and 300 WSM with 23″ barrel length; and 7mm Rem. Mag. and 300 Win. Mag. with 26″ barrel length. The weight of the rifle ranges from 7 lbs. 2 oz. to 7 lbs. 11 oz.
The suggested retail price for this rifle is $1,239.99 – $1,339.99.
