County sheriffs in Ohio are required to submit quarterly numbers pertaining to concealed carry permits to State Attorney General Mike DeWine, who then compiles the data and issues an annual report.

As the AP notes, 1,100 concealed handgun licenses were denied in 2015 and 530 were revoked, both up from 2014. In addition, roughly 1,300 permits were suspended, which is actually down from 1,400 in 2014.
