A teenager tried to rob a pizza delivery man at gunpoint last summer in Norfolk, Virginia, but the driver also had a gun. That’s how the 15-year-old robbery suspect landed in the hospital, police said in a news release.
The incident happened at about 9:30 p.m. in the 900 block of Galt Street in northeast Norfolk. The robber brandished a gun and demanded money, but the pizza man shot him, police said. Doctors treated the teen for “life-threatening injuries,” but police said he was “expected to recover.” Meanwhile, police added, “Investigators have charged the 15 year old with one count of robbery, and one count of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.”
