The reflex sight continues to grow in popularity. And why not? It works well for defensive carry on pistols, shotguns and even carbines. Now the Shield Sights RMS2 offers another solid option for defensive optics.
Shield Sights RMS2
The RMS2 builds on the foundation of the company’s original RMS. The RMS2 brings features that increase performance for defensive carry, shooting enthusiasts and competitors, according to Shield.
The Shield RMS2 features a strengthened lens housing and updated electronics. Improved battery contacts also help further enhance reliability. A glass coated polymer lens continues to provide shatterproof and scratch-resistant protection.
The RMS2 also lacks a batter draw to further strengthen the housing, removing additional points of failure, according to Shield. Meanwhile, the footprint includes four location posts and two screws to ensure a consistent and secure interface to hold the sight in place.
“The explosive growth in the RDS market for concealed carry and general range use has presented new variables that we were eager to consider in the design of the RMS2,” said James White, CEO Shield Sights. “The advancements in technology and additional research in the field has given us the ability to design and deliver an overall better product for the majority of RDS shooters out there.”
The RMS2 retails for $430. For more information, please visit shieldpsd.com.
