Primary Arms Optics just announced an update to its popular SLx Prism line of optics. The new Primary Arms SLx Gen III comes in 3X and 5X models. Each provides numerous upgrades over their predecessors, but still at an extremely affordable price point.
Primary Arms SLx Gen III Optics
The SLx 3x32mm Gen III Prism Scope retails for $289.99. It delivers impressive optical clarity, according to Primary Arms. The optic utilizes a brightly illuminated reticle. It features a fully-reengineered factory mount. Additionally, the 3x32mm sports two new ACSS reticle designs: ACSS-5.56-CQB-M2 and ACSS-CQB-300BLK/7.62×39.
The 5x36mm works better for longer-distance engagements. It weighs less, at 18.4 ounces, than comparable mounted LPVOs, according to Primary Arms. An integrated Picatinny rail section allows mounting a vertically offset red dot. Additionally, the 5X utilizes the ACSS Aurora reticle, a metric-based BDC. It comes with the ACSS Aurora and Standard ACSS 5.56/.398/5.45. The optics retails for $329.99.
“Our Prism Scopes have set the standard in the category and we’ve just made them even stronger,” said Terry Mears, Primary Arms’ Director of Product Marketing. “How do you improve upon an already strong line of Prism Scopes? Make them even stronger and add a proven reticle to the mix.”
