Following up on an announcement earlier this year that they would leave Colorado due to that state’s restrictive gun laws, Magpul announced that their corporate headquarters has moved to Texas, more specifically, to 8226 Bee Caves Road in Austin. The company closed on the contract for the new facility in November.
Meanwhile, according to the press release, Magpul’s new manufacturing and distribution facility in Wyoming is set to open in January 2015. It is located at 7201 Commerce Circle in Cheyenne. The company is also adding a 50,000 sq ft addition to the center, which will be completed later this month. All manufacturing and distribution will move to the 185,000 sq ft facility starting on January 12, 2015.
While Magpul is closing all of its existing Colorado facilities during the first quarter of 2015, the company plans on opening an administrative office in the Centennial State to provide support for the relocation. That office will then exist as a regional support office.
“These new facilities in Texas and Wyoming immediately enhance and expand the company’s business operations,” says Duane Liptak, Director of Product Management and Marketing for Magpul Industries. “Magpul remains committed to completing the final phases of this transition without disruption to our customers and business partners.”
