Kahr has expanded their line of double-action compact pistols with the new Kahr CT380. According to the press release, this is the fourth pistol to be introduced as part of the Kahr Value Series in 2014, the others being the CT40, CT45 and the CT9.
Chambered in .380 ACP, the Kahr CT380 boasts a 3.0 inch barrel with a 1:16 right-hand twist, an overall length of 5.52 inches, a height of 4.4 inches, and an overall weight of 11.44 ounces without a magazine. This pistol features a black polymer frame and comes with a frame which has 4140 steel inserts molded into the front and back. It also has a 416 matte stainless steel slide (with a width of .75 inches) and textured polymer grip.
As the press release notes, the Kahr CT380 has a lock breech, modified Browning type recoil lug and features the “safe cam” action and offset recoil lug barrel design found in all Kahr pistols. As a result, the CT380 has a minimal amount of felt recoil and quick follow-up shots. In addition to all of the aforementioned features, this pistol comes with a drift adjustable white bar-dot combat rear sight and a pinned-in polymer front sight. Lastly, the slide locks back after the last round is fired.
The Kahr CT380 — which comes with one 7 rd. stainless steel magazine and ships in a cardboard box — is available at an MSRP of $399. See below for additional details.
