In this footage, Shuey demonstrates how to perform a 1911 trigger job.

The Certified 1911 Pistolsmith Course includes over 27 hours of video instruction which has been remastered with new content. It also comes with a detailed workbook with professional notes on the 1911 for reference. Simply put, this course is a must-have for those who own a 1911 or consider themselves a student of this pistol. It includes online test access, a Certified 1911 Pistolsmith Certificate (upon successful completion of the online test) and the AGI Certified 1911 Pistolsmith Patch at a price less than travel, expenses and enrollment in one certification course.

As the press release notes, the 1911 is primarily used as a personal defense weapon or for building the latest IPSC competition pistol or hi-capacity, compensated “race gun.” Most people don’t understand how it actually works and are unable to customize it while still having it work reliably.
