President Donald Trump fired a shot at Supreme Court justices on Thursday. The president voiced his displeasure over the court’s failure to take up any potential precedent-setting Second Amendment cases.

Trump Blasts SCOTUS
We reported Tuesday that the Supreme Court passed on 10 potential Second Amendment-related appeals. The decision sent an audible groan throughout the 2A community, and with good reason. With a supposed conservative court, and the collection of appeals before the court, it presented a golden opportunity to protect gun rights. Yet the court elected to pass once again.
Justice Clarence Thomas voice frustration as well, writing “But today, faced with a petition challenging just such a restriction on citizens’ Second Amendment rights, the Court simply looks the other way.”
“These horrible & politically charged decisions coming out of the Supreme Court are shotgun blasts into the face of people that are proud to call themselves Republicans or Conservatives,” tweeted the president. “We need more Justices or we will lose our 2nd. Amendment & everything else. Vote Trump 2020!”
Potential cases included themes central to 2A protection. Topics ranged from addressing a Massachusetts ban on modern sporting rifles to taking on California’s handgun laws.
To Trump’s point of voting in 2020, Joe Biden officially declared war on the Second Amendment. His campaign stands as the most over anti-gun presidential run in American history. A Trump White House, in theory, means more pro-gun justices in SCOTUS.
