Dave Sevigny Wins Limited Division at USPSA Area 5 Championship

GASTON J. GLOCK style LP announced that Dave Sevigny won the Limited Division at the USPSA Area 5 Championship, held June 12 -15, in Barry, Illinois. According to the press release, Sevigny collected six stage wins with Top Five finishes in all 13 courses of fire to win his sixth all-time USPSA Area 5 Championship.

“For the past month I’ve been bouncing between Action Pistol, Steel Challenge and USPSA. It was a good feeling to come into this match and put up winning scores,” remarked Sevigny. “I’ll have more time to devote to IPSC and USPSA events later on in the season.”

The Area 5 Championship is a United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) event that contains Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan, Kentucky and West Virginia. Limited Division, which is designed for iron-sight high capacity pistols, had the highest number of entries at the USPSA Area 5 Championship with 109 competitors registered in the field. Dave and Brooke Sevigny will next compete in Iron Sight and Open Divisions at the Steel Challenge World Speed Shooting Championship June 25th – 28th, 2014 at the Southern Utah Shooting Sports Park in St. George, UT. Steel Challenge requires competitors to hit five steel targets from stationary positions at distances of 7 to 35 yards for a timed match score. Lowest cumulative time for all eight stages wins the match.
