For the third consecutive year, GASTON J. GLOCK style LP sponsored shooter Dave Sevigny won the Iron Sight Pistol Division at the 2014 Speed on Steel Northeast Regional, presented by World Class Steel and held at the Old Bridge Rifle and Pistol Club in Old Bridge, New Jersey on June 1, 2014. He also finished second in the Open Division, while teammate Brooke Sevigny finished 4th in the Iron Sight and 5th in the Open Division.
“Earlier this year, we competed at the Georgia State Championship in two Iron Sight Divisions. At the Steel Challenge World Championship, we will compete in both Iron and Open Divisions, so shooting the Northeast Regional was a good way to re-enter the speed steel season,” David Sevigny said in a press release.
“We at GASTON J. GLOCK style LP are so very proud of David’s continuing successes. The Sevigny Performance team always demonstrates their professional attitude and passion for the sport on and off the field. They represent everything we believe in at GASTON J. GLOCK style LP,” Beate Arnold, CEO of GASTON J. GLOCK style LP added.
As the press release notes, shooters from all over the world attend this World Class Steel event. There are seven static steel stages: Pendulum, Roundabout, Zig-Zag, Smoke & Hope, Five-to-Go, Showdown and Speed Option. “Static steel shooting involves hitting static steel targets in various arrangements from a holster or low-ready position in the fastest time possible,” the press release says. “The winners receive cash prizes, and all match shooters are eligible to get random drawing prizes.”
Next up for Dave and Brook Sevigny is the USPSA Area 5 Championship, June 12 -15, in Barry, Illinois, where they will compete in the Limited Division.
