Women make up one of the largest growing parts of the shooting community, so whether it’s for self-defense purposes or for fun, the most important woman in your life should know how to shoot. This Mother’s Day, get your mom the gift that keeps on giving.
The Colonial Shooting Academy in Richmond, Va., is offering a Ladies-Only Basic Pistol class with $20 off for those who sign up before Mother’s Day.
The course, normally priced at $159.95, is eight hours and is taught by one of the Colonial Shooting Academy’s female instructors.
The Ladies-Only Basic Pistol class covers both revolvers and semi-automatic pistols.
Students will learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling, pistol parts and operation, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, range rules, shooting from the bench rest position, two-handed standing positions and how to clean the pistol.
At the end of the course, students will take a final exam and receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet and a course completion certificate.
Class dates are as follows:
- May 10, 15 & 17: 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- May 28-29 (split session): 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. both days
- June 14-15, 28: 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
