Springfield Looks to Conceal with Range Officer Compact

Compact, concealable weapons are as popular as ever — it was for this purpose that Springfield Armory took its full-size Range Officer and scaled it down to create the Range Officer Compact .45 ACP.

The Range Officer Compact .45 ACP uses a slightly shorter frame, which helps the pistol cross over as a solid concealed carry option.

The compact chassis of the Range Officer Compact .45 ACP has a four-inch barrel bull barrel instead of the five-inch bushing barrel featured on the full-size pistol.

While the Compact .45 ACP has all of the same great features that make the full-size Range Officer as accurate as it is, the compact also has slim line grips that don’t come on the larger firearms from Springfield Armory.

Featuring a fiber optic front and low profile combat rear sights, the Range Officer Compact .45 ACP Handgun has a dual spring recoil system and a lightweight Delta hammer.

The pistol also features an extended thumb safety, a lowered flared ejection port and a beavertail grip safety. The large beavertail of the Range Officer Compact .45 ACP not only provides a strong grip, but also helps reduce recoil.

The Compact .45 ACP is expected to be released soon.
