Teya Freeman is an Army combat veteran (Combat Medic in Iraq), mother, and takes self-defense seriously.  In the Army she was trained as an armorer and qualified with a variety of firearms.

Professional non-U.S. military training includes the Russian Spetsnaz way of AK and pistol with CENTER-T, armed citizen handgun training at Front Sight, and LEO-style handgun and carbine training with VerTac.

Though always appreciative of firearms design and application, it wasn’t until involvement with Athlon Outdoors and the GBGuns YouTube channel that her passion was enabled. She now provides consumers with raw, real, usable information about products to help them make the best selections for their individual needs.
