A specially calibrated two-dot ballistic drop reticle of the XPS2-300 HWS (holographic weapons system) works with both ammo types. As a result, the optic allows for zeroing for both subsonic and supersonic .300 Blackout rounds. In fact, it uses the same reticle for instant access to both zeroes, without the need to readjust. It also features a laser-etched ballistic drop diagram on the housing, for quick reference between subsonic and supersonic drop data.
The waterproof, fog-proof and battle tested housing measures a mere 3.8-inches long and is only 9-ounces. For this reason, it pairs perfectly with short-barreled weapon systems and leaves room for magnifiers and rear iron sights. Furthermore, the rugged construction ensures operation, even if the sight window breaks or becomes partially obstructed.
A CR123 battery provides 1,000 hours battery life at the nominal setting 12, at room temperature. However, the auto battery check and auto shutdown help to preserve battery life, ensuring operation every time. The 68MOA ring and (2) 1MOA aiming dots feature 20 daylight brightness settings, for operational assurance, regardless of environmental factors.
