B&T remains a company on the move. For the second consecutive week, the company announced another military adoption of one of its platforms. The São Paulo Brazil Military Police purchased the B&T APC40 Pro in .40 S&W.
B&T APC40 Pro Headed to Brazil
The selection delivers cartridge commonality between divisions that recently procured a new Glock pistol in .40 S&W. Just last week, Tactical Life reported the U.S. Air Force selection of the B&T APC9K Pro. Previously, B&T won the U.S. Army Sub Compact Weapon solicitation; that contract brought $2.5 million. Since then, Miami Beach Police also selected B&T, a suddenly hot commodity for agencies seeking a PDW.
“After enduring a rigorous and thorough selection process, B&T is pleased that our APC40 PRO model has been chosen by the officers of the São Paulo Military Police,” stated Jon Scott, Vice President of Sales, B&T USA. “This contract also marks the company’s first exportation of US-produced APC40 models, built right here in Tampa, Florida — which, in and of itself, is very exciting for us.”
Additionally, the São Paulo Military Police also procured B&T tri-lug SMG suppressors. B&T 30-round Glock magazines and Vicker’s Tactical vCAS two-point adjustable slings round out the submission.
The APC40 Pro utilizes a hydraulic buffer system to reduce felt recoil and muzzle rise. It features functional updates to the original APC series. Updates include dual auto-folding, non-reciprocating and ambidextrous charging handles. Improved lower receiver ergonomics, a removable M4-style grip and M-LOK accessory slots highlight the platform. Further, the APC40 Pro accommodates Glock magazines.
