Walther Arms recently announced it secured a contract to provide the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office with the Walther PPQ M2 9mm. The Georgia law enforcement agency selected the 4-inch model, replacing its previous .40-caliber duty sidearm.
Berrien County Sheriff’s Office Picks Walther PPQ M2
Berrien County picked the PPQ M2 for many reasons listed by fellow agencies, according to Rick DeMilt, Director of Law Enforcement Sales, Walther Arms. DeMilt credited ergonomics, combined with a smooth striker-fired trigger system. The pistol also features a 1/10-inch reset, making it incredibly fast.
Upon delivery of the new pistol to Berrien County Sheriff’s Office, Dave Barnes, Law Enforcement Channel Manager, conducted training. The Walther PPQ Armorers Training Class covers the required steps in servicing the pistol.
The selection of a 9mm platform continues a well-documented trend in law enforcement. Better 9mm ammunition and pistols continue to push more agencies back into 9mm duty pistols.
The selection and delivery of the pistol came through the assistance of Walther’s Law Enforcement Distributor, SSD International. For more information, visit waltherarms.com.
