A Fort Lauderdale Police Officer took down former Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale Monday. The now viral video shows officers waste no time. Officer body cam footage shows an officer quickly move in, subduing Parscale, who claims he had done nothing wrong.
Brad Parscale Taken Down by SWAT in Florida
The incident began after a call to police describing a drunken man, later identified as Parscale, who reportedly threatened to harm himself, according to the South Florida Sun Sentinel. Meanwhile, Parscale’s wife suffered cuts and bruises during an alleged domestic incident.
Officers confiscated a total of 11 firearms in the house under the state’s red flag law, according to the South Florida Sun Sentinel. The 44-year-old reportedly possessed rifles, shotguns and pistol.
City officials since requested to keep Parscale’s guns away from him, citing red flag law, reported South Florida Sun Sentinel. A risk protection order described Parscale as posing a “significant danger of causing personal injury to themselves or others in the near future.” The order also described what it called a “cache” of ammunition.
As for the SWAT Team called in, they deftly and quickly resolved what could have been a tense, even deadly situation. The tackle itself was decent, but our officer needs to learn to wrap up.
