Leupold VX-3i in Burnt Bronze Medal
The first scope to wear the new finish comes as the VX-3i CDS-ZL 4.5-14×40. It features the company’s ZeroLock CDS dial. The ZeroLock feature prevents unintended adjustments and ensures an accurate return to zero, according to Leupold.
“The VX-3i is already one of the most versatile and successful Gold Ring riflescopes we’ve ever built,” said Vici Peters, Product Line Manager, Leupold & Stevens. “But we wanted to give our customers more value. That’s why we added the ZeroLock dial, and why we’re adding burnt bronze finish to the production line – more factory rifles are being made available in bronze, and we want hunters and shooters to be able to match those rifles with the very best optics.”
The scopes also include Leupold’s proprietary CDS, or Custom Dial System feature. Each CDS-compatible scope comes with one free dial. Leupold will customize an elevation dial to match an exact load, velocity and average atmospheric conditions. The resulting dial allows shooters to easily compensate for bullet drop and making quick adjustments, according to Leupold.
