SB Tactical recently announced the release of its newest PDW pistol accessory, a Pistol Stabilizing Brace, the SBA4. The adjustable brace complies with all BATFE regulations, according to SB Tactical.

SB Tactical based the SBA4 on the popular SBM4. The new five-position adjustable brace delivers compatibility with all pistol platforms that will readily accept a mil-spec carbine receiver extension. The SBA4 also features an integral, ambidextrous QD sling socket. The brace thereby enhances usability by adding a third point of contact for stabilization, according to SB Tactical.
The brace ships with a 7075 mil-spec carbine receiver extension. The new unit also includes an adjustable nylon strap. The SBA4 delivers enhanced cheek weld ergonomics, increased stability and improved accuracy. Above all, the entire accessory component wights just 10 ounces.
SB Tactical manufactures all of its U.S. Veteran-designed products in the USA. SB Tactical, of course, pioneered the pistol brace, which it originally produced for disabled veterans. After SB Tactical began producing braces, the BATFE ruled in 2015 that “the pistol stabilizing brace was neither ‘designed’ nor approved to be used as a shoulder stock, and therefore use as a shoulder stock constitutes a ‘redesign’ of the device because a possessor has changed the very function of the item,” we reported in BREAKING: ATF Reverses Position on SB Tactical’s Pistol Stabilizing Brace. However, the BATFE reversed its decision shortly thereafter, and SB Tactical has been cranking out brace after brace ever since.
