Bergara Releases 2 BXR Semi-Auto Rifles in .22 LR

Bergara Rifles recently announced its newest rifle platform, the semi-automatic Bergara BXR in .22 LR. The BXR brings custom quality components to a 10/22-style semi-auto, yet remains affordable.

The Bergara BXR features modern styling and removable-replaceable spacers to adjust stock length. The combination targets younger shooters, yet can grow with them and provide shooting for years to come.

“We have had our eye on the rimfire space for several years now,” said Nate Treadaway, CEO of BPI Outdoors, Bergara’s parent company. “Not only is it a very close alignment to our core customer base but we are already familiar with how to make an extremely accurate barrel. The BXR just happens to be the first of several models to come from Bergara and will fill a void between the featureless mass-produced models and overly priced boutique offerings.”

The BXR 22 LR series comes in two configurations. The base model (part number BXR001) sports a 4140 CrMo fluted steel barrel with a Cerakote finish. Its stock features green with black fleck and weighs 5.25 pounds. Meanwhile, the upgraded BXR features a carbon fiber barrel (part number BXR002) and black stock with grey fleck, and the model weighs only 4.75 pounds.

Each model includes a 34.5-inch overall length, with just over an inch in length-of-pull adjustment. A 16.5-inch barrel, with a pre-threaded muzzle and thread protector, 10-round rotary magazine (10/22 compatible) and 30 MOA Picatinny rail round out the package.
