FIRST LOOK: Remington Model 870 Express Tactical Side Folder

Remington recently announced its newest version of the company’s most famous pump gun, the 870 Express Tactical Side Folder. Moreover, the new model sheds a little less than a foot in length when folded, remarkable for stowing and packing.

Remington claims it designed the side-folding model with shooter comfort and usability in mind. Further, the platform still offers the distinct advantage of making the gun easier to transport and store, according to Remington. Also, the overall length reduces down 11 inches in the folded position.

Remington Model 870 Express Tactical Side Folder Features

The shotgun includes a Remchoke barrel with an overall length of 18.5 inches. Additionally, the threaded barrel accepts Remchokes so users can choose to fit specific applications.

The Tapco AK Pattern pistol grip delivers comfort and configurability. Meanwhile, the stock folks on the right side for stowing and portability. Also, a soft touch cheekpiece delivers adjustability depending on sight heights. A Supercell recoil pad and adjustable length of pull kit increase versatility.

The forend includes a hand strap and positive hand stops. Also, the forend adds greater versatility via an M-LOK attachment system for the attachment of lights or other accessories. Additionally, the shotgun’s magazine features an overall capacity of 6+1.

The 870 series shotgun features a drilled and tapped receiver for mounting optics. Meanwhile, a threaded in front sight bead delivers a traditional sighting system. Finally, QD cup attachment points round out this svelte, compact tactical package.
