As expected, it didn’t take long for the new SIG Sauer M400 Tread to build a warranted buzz. With plenty of “room to grow,” the offering marks SIG’s unique take on the concept of an entry-level rifle.

We got our first look at the M400 Tread at the 2018 Athlon Outdoors Rendezvous in Montana. Tactical-Life contributor Todd Burgreen was the first to take the M400 Tread out for a spin on the range.

And an update for September 2019, SIG just unveiled its SIG M400 Tread Pistol. The pistol variant puts a rifle caliber and a 30+1 capacity into a compact package with a barrel length of just 11.5 inches.
