Available in standard, fixed mag and featureless versions, the DS-15 Hunter rifle boasts a custom hydro-dripped Camo finish and is built on Dark Storm’s DS-15 billet 7075 aluminum lower receiver, along with a forged upper with a forward assist and an ejection port cover. The rifle also sports a 16-inch non-threaded nitrite barrel with a 1:8 twist; 90-degree safety selector; M16 BCG; steel micro gas block and DSI Ultralight Narrow Profile M-LOK 12-inch forearm.
“The Hunter is our first Special Edition designed specifically for those individuals that are looking for an AR style hunting rifle with a Camo finish. The Next G2 Camo is an excellent wide format traditional limb and leaf camo pattern that allows the firearm to perform in more environments and terrain,” Ed Newman, co-founder and owner of Dark Storm Industries explained. “This DS-15 Hunter is also incredibly light weight at 6 lbs., 15 ounces, including the magazine. Extremely accurate and very portable, we are looking forward to offering our customers a variety of calibers under the new Hunter line within the next few months.”
The standard version of the DS-15 Hunter has a Magpul MOE stock, Hogue pistol grip and a 30-round mag. The fixed mag model uses Dark Storm’s FX series lower, which has a non-detachable 10-round Magpul PMAG magazine, as well as a Magpul MOE stock and Hogue grip. Both versions are optics ready and come with a trigger lock. The featureless model has a detachable 10-round Magpul PMAG and uses the same Magpul MOE stock and Spur Grip for restrictive states.
Measuring 37.25 inches in overall length and tipping the scales at six pounds, 15 ounces, the DS-15 Hunter is available at suggested retail price of $1,095.
