Daniel Defense has issued a safety notification related to a condition the Georgia-based gun maker says it identified with the disconnector in the fire control group that may cause a “double fire condition” to occur with a single pull of the trigger. The safety notification applies to firearms manufactured between April 1, 2016 through March 3, 2017.

“When it comes to any potential safety concerns with our products, we’re all in on being proactive and getting them fixed ASAP” Daniel Defense Founder/CEO Marty Daniel said in a press release. “Safety is our number-one concern, and our reputation rides on our customers knowing the firearm they’re using is as safe and reliable as possible.”
To check if your Daniel Defense firearm is affected by this safety notification, head on over to danieldefense.com/safety and enter in your gun’s serial number into the search box. You’ll then get a message indicating if the safety notification applies to you. If it does, stop using the firearm immediately and follow the “corrective action process” listed in that link above to get a pre-paid, pre-addressed UPS shipping label and box.
You only need to ship out the lower receiver. Once Daniel Defense completes the inspection and makes the necessary corrections, they’ll ship the lower receiver back to you with the tracking information.
