A lieutenant with the Louisiana-based St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office recently called out a suspect after a robbery at a local restaurant.
In the video, posted by ABC affiliate KATC3, St. Landry Lt. Clay Higgins first describes the crime, but then goes on to threaten the suspect with some southern hospitality.
“The Sheriff likes Stelly’s restaurant, and so do I. The food here is good and the folks are friendly,” Higgins says in the video. “We’re going to identify you, arrest you and put you in a small cell. After that, I’m going to have a cheeseburger here, with fries and a Coke, and leave a nice tip for the waitress.”
Higgins goes on to discuss DNA evidence found at the crime scene and tells the suspect it’s only a matter of time before he’s caught.
