DRD Tactical has announced its newest firearm, the KIVAARI Semi-Automatic Rifle in .338 Lapua Magnum.

The KIVAARI is designed to be a quick take down rifle using DRD’s patented quick change barrel system.
The rifle features a 24-inch barrel with 1/10 twist, ambidextrous controls including the safety selector, bolt catch and magazine release, a Geissele two-stage trigger, a Magpul PRS adjustable stock, a Magpul M-LOK rail for accessory attachments, left side non-reciprocating charging handle, a Silencerco QD muzzle brake for suppressor use, an Atlas bipod and two 10-round box magazines.
DRD’s KIVAARI has an overall length of 47 inches assembled and comes with a Tactical Taylor Trekker backpack.
The rifle weighs only 14.6 pounds empty including the bipod because it operates on DI gas system.
The ability to change barrels in the field and the most compact transportable long range semi-automatic rifle is what KIVAARI offers to hunters, target shooters, military and law enforcement customers, with 1-MOA accuracy. It will be offered in Nickel Boron and hard coat anodized black.
It will be distributed by EuroOptic LTD and will be available summer 2015 with an MSRP of $6,900.
