Tactical Machining has been crafting high quality parts for the AR-15 platform since 2008.
One of the newest parts from the Florida-based manufacturer comes on its the 80% line.
The Tactical Machining 80% AR-15 Lower receivers start as 7075-T6 forgings from the lead forge in the U.S. and are fully machined to mil-spec tolerances. The operations left to be completed on the receiver are as follows:
- fire control group
- trigger pin
- hammer pin
- trigger slot
- safety selector hole.
This is a not a Federal Firearms License (FFL) item. The 80% AR-15 Lower receivers are not complete receivers and still require machining to be done. Tactical Machining has a copy of their ATF determination letter and their determination update stating that it is not a firearm.
The 80% AR-15 Lower receiver retails for $78, but is currently on sale for $49.
The new receivers joins a growing list of 80% receivers like the 80% AR-15 Anodized Lower Receiver, the 80% Single Shot Receiver and the 80% TM-22 Receiver.
