Reactor’s Gryphon Watches Are Built for Any Outdoors Situation | New Product

Reactor Watches, a California-based company that manufactures sport watches, has introduced the Gryphon. These tough, tactical watches feature a cover made of Nitromid, which is a glass-reinforced polymer with a higher tensile strength than steel, as well as a stainless steel core. These elements combine to create a durable watch with enhanced impact resistance which matches the watertight capability of a 100% steel model at half the weight.

With the introduction of the Gryphon, Reactor continues their streak of innovative releases. The Gryphon has a 42mm case, a 10-year lithium power cell, accurate quartz movement, and it has been depth-tested to 200m (600ft). The Gryphon strap — which prevents the watchband from absorbing odor and dirt — is a combination of nylon webbing co-molded with Reactor’s silicone and natural rubber compound. These materials are mounted on a stainless steel tube with a stainless steel screw bar, resulting in a watchband rated to over 200KG.

Another appealing feature of Gryphon watches is the Never Dark illumination technology, which blends Superluminova brightness with tritium longevity for illumination under any and all lighting conditions. As it can take up to 30 minutes for the human eye to adjust to the dark, Reactor developed Never Dark technology to make Gryphon watches visible during this adjustment period.

Gryphon watches — all of which are built on the Reactor DNA platform for strength, comfort and durability — are available in Black, Blue, Orange, Red, Flat Dark Earth, and Urban Camo at an MSRP of $350. See below for more information.
