Colt’s M2012 series features four impressive rifles, three of which fire the .308 Winchester: the M2012SA308, M2012LT308G and M2012MT308T.
What sets them apart? The stock.
Colt, in conjunction with Cooper Firearms of Montana, announced the addition of the M2012MT308T to the M2012 bolt action rifle family in 2013.
The M2012MT308T, offered in .308 Winchester, is designed with the shooter’s comfort in mind, making it ideal for long sessions at the range.
The stock of the M2012MT308T is a custom Manners composite stock built from a combination of aircraft-grade carbon fiber and fiberglass, making it accurate, stable and lighter than other precision rifle stocks.
Manners Composite Stocks prides itself on the rugged nature and ergonomics of its stocks. The stocks engineered by Manners are made to exceed any type of abuse that the shooter can put it through. To back this up, each item has a lifetime 100 percent satisfaction guarantee.
The barrel of the M2012MT308T is a 22-inch stainless steel, match grade barrel with a 1-10-inch twist. The rifle weighs in at 10.25 pounds without the magazine and measures 44 inches in overall length.
The M2012MT308T uses Accuracy International style magazines.
All M2012 models feature a custom fluted, match grade barrel and a single stage, adjustable Timney trigger. A signed, serial numbered and dated test target is included with each rifle as a testament to its accuracy.
The M2012MT308T retails for $3,195.
