This week, our friends at SoldierSystems.net have chosen to spotlight the new SJK Tactical Thermal Cloak from Slumberjack, a Boulder, Colorado-based company which specializes in manufacturing high quality outdoor gear and accessories. Click here to read their full review.
The Thermal Cloak is part of Slumberjack’s forthcoming SJK Tactical Hunting Gear line, which made its official debut during SHOT Show 2014. According to Soldier Systems, the new line includes packs, insulated tree stand bags, and tents, all of which boast a durable, lightweight construction in Kryptek camouflage.
The SJK Tactical Thermal Cloak offers effective protection from the elements and serves as a personal blind. This new product has 160g of synthetic insulation for warmth, as well as fabrics which are waterproof and taped to the seam of the cloak, which protects the wearer from wind, rain and snow. Meanwhile, the tactical cloak also comes with a convenient hood which enables the end user to preserve peripheral vision and hearing. Another advantage of this product is that it is highly adjustable. Indeed, the cloak may be adjusted to the knees of the user for optimized mobility while hunting. The thermal cloak also contains self-sealing arm ports which lets the wearer move into a firing position. In addition to the various advantages of the cloak itself, this product also comes in its own stuff sack for easy transport.
In their review of the SJK Tactical Thermal Cloak, SoldierSystems.net goes into detail about the arm ports, hood, the front wide zipper, the insulation/comfortability, the adjustability, and more.
“Functionality wise, the Thermal Cloak fulfills its purpose well,” SolderSystems.net writes. “It keeps its wearer warm, and is designed to operate as quietly as possible, as expected from a product meant for use when hunting.”
