Firebird Precision is introducing their TAC-12 A1 Shotgun, brand new for 2014. This 12-gauge, semiautomatic tactical shotgun has a free-floating barrel and a Firebird Precision handguard which has an integrated, non-reciprocating charging handle capable of being switched to either side of the gun. In addition, a box magazine is used to feed ammunition.
Both the upper and lower receiver for the TAC-12 A1 Shotgun are machined from billet aluminum and feature a hard anodized black finish. In addition, this gun features a Picatinny rail which runs from the back of the upper receiver to the front of the handguard. It also includes an ambidextrous safety and an extended magazine release.
The Firebird Precision TAC-12 A1 shotgun can easily be disassembled using two take-down pins which hold together the upper and lower receivers. Once these two parts are separated, the lower receiver only houses the fire controls and related components, while the upper receiver stays attached to the stock, barrel and handguard.
The manufacturer suggested retail price for the Firebird Precision TAC-12 A1 shotgun is $1,860.00. Firearms sales through Firebird Precision require an FFL to FFL transfer. See below for a rundown of features for this innovative and effective tactical shotgun.
