The Ruger SR-762 semi-automatic rifle is a gas-piston-operated AR carbine chambered in .308 Win/7.62mm. The SR-762 offers a 20+1 capacity, is lightweight and includes a smooth-sided, round handguard; a chrome-plated, two-stage piston with a four-position adjustable gas regulator and a chrome-lined barrel with a 1-in-10-inch twist rate. The Ruger SR-762 weighs just over 8.6 lbs without a magazine. The cold hammer-forged barrel is 16.2″.
The SR-762 has folding back up iron sights. The rear sight is windage adjustable and has two apertures for different ranges. A sight tool for elevation adjustment on the front sight is also provided. Included with the SR-762 are three 20-round Magpul PMAG magazines and a dust cover.
