SNEAK PEEK: LWRC Six8 UCIW

Featuring LWRC’s patented self-regulating short-stroke piston system and cold-hammer-forged, NiCorr-treated barrel with a 20,000-round life, the Six8 UCIW is a completely reengineered, select-fire rifle specially designed for the powerful 6.8 SPC round. Representing a collaboration between LWRC, Magpul and ammunition-maker ATK, the Six8 has an 8.5-inch barrel and 24-inch overall length with the stock collapsed, making for a compact but robust, controllable and accurate SBR. Author Rob Garrett notes, “Even with the shorter barrel, the Six8 UCIW is capable of improved terminal ballistics at CQB and extended ranges. The select fire is ideal for civilian law enforcement, while a yet-to-be-produced, semi- auto SBR will be a favorite for the NFA crowd.” For more on the Six8 UCIW and on how it performed in full-auto and on steel, check out the 2014 issue of Black Guns, available on newsstands and digitally on July 23, 2013.
