NEW PTR32 7.62x39mm

Based off the Cold War-era HK32, the PTR32 is a 7.62x39mm rifle built on the proven roller-locked G3 design. The KFR version comes standard with a Mil-Std-1913 rail on the top of the receiver for mounting optics such as the Trijicon ACOG shown here.

While the AR15 and AK-47 are popular among civilian shooter, for law enforcement use there can be little doubt that the AR15 has far outpaced the AK-47 family of rifles in the US market. There are several reasons for this: it’s more readily accessorized, ergonomics and controls are generally better, it’s capable of pinpoint accuracy, and, simply put, it’s not perceived as a “bad guy” gun in the way that the AK is. Unfortunately, the AR is usually encountered in .223. Without starting yet another Internet forum war about which is best, I think we can all agree that there are roles in which the 7.62x39mm cartridge has a distinct advantage over the .223—especially when it comes to penetrating cover such as auto-body steel, which is some-thing a patrol carbine should be capable of doing.
