The Beretta 1301 Tactical family is very popular in the shotgun community, and rightfully so. It’s a well-crafted shotgun and the variants — like the 1301 Tactical Marine — are equally reliable. But, like everything in life, there’s always room for improvement. Langdon Tactical agreed and, as a result, developed the LTT 1301 Tactical Shotgun.

The Beretta Base
If you haven’t caught on yet, the Beretta 1301 Tactical’s action serves as the base for Langdon’s latest build. Langdon explains why:
“Out of the box, the Beretta 1301 Tactical has a nice trigger, quick cycling, and includes extended controls, but as a tactical shotgun there was room for improvement. Sling and light-mounting options were limited, and as an import subject to 922r restrictions, capacity was limited to just five rounds. Adding an extension tube alone could be a felony unless enough other U.S.-made parts are added. Combined, this created the perfect storm for an LTT model to be created.”
The Langdon LTT 1301 Tactical
So what did Langdon add to amp up the shotgun? Altogether, there are five additions that come standard with the LTT 1301 Tactical:
- Aridus MagPul Zhukov Handguard
- Aridus Industries Stock Adapter
- MagPul Stock
- Nordic Components Magazine Tube Extension Kit
- Nordic Enhanced Magazine Tube Follower
There are also two optional upgrades:
- Aridus Universal QDC Side Saddle
- Aridus CROM Mount (Rob Haught Version)
Firstly, Langdon increased capacity to seven rounds via the clamped and flush-fitting tube extension. The manufacturer also provided M-LOC mounting points for both flashlights and sling mounts via the improved handguard. Lastly, the stock provides multiple sling-mounting points and makes short-stocking easier through improved ergonomics, including length-of-pull adjustment.
The LTT 1301 Tactical shotgun is Title 18, 922r compliant, so you can have peace of mind that your tactical shotgun is fully legal. MSRP, which depends on upgrades, ranges from $1,599 to $1,879. For more information please visit LangdonTactical.com.
