The model highlights the spirit of exploration and honor of a culture that birthed legends—in a powerful 10mm fashion. However, as with others in the storied TALO catalog, the Hammer of Thor is limited to 500 pieces.

The TALO Colt Delta Elite Hammer of Thor 1911

Using the classic Colt Delta Elite as its canvas, the Hammer of Thor tells its tale on a stainless-steel Government model slide and frame. Likewise, chambered in 10mm, the 1911 houses a modified Series 80 firing system and single action only operation. Specifically, the model features a stiffer double recoil spring, enabling it to handle the increased recoil of the 10mm round. Additionally, safe handling comes in the form of an extended thumb safety, upswept beavertail grip safety, and Series 80T Firing Pin Safety.

The brushed stainless slide features an exquisite engraving of Ratatoskr, the world tree, framed by the serpent Jörmungandr. Correspondingly, the squirrel Ratatoskr is depicted within the world tree to run messages between the eagle and serpent. Likewise, the rear of the slide, behind the rear cocking serrations, is a rendition of the Bifrost and Asgard.

Adorning the right side of the slide is Mjölnir, made up of an eagle, symbolizing strength and freedom, and two rams heads, embodying power and leadership. The iconic symbol is nestled within Nordic scrollwork to further embellish the theme. Likewise, the rear of the slide also features a depiction of Mjölnir surrounded by lightning, signifying the god of thunder.

Set off beautifully against the brushed steel platform are upgraded, custom white kirinite grips, furthering the tale. Specifically, each side is adorned with the ancient Norse compass Vegvisir, guiding the adventurous at heart. The deeply engraved compass sits within a frame of Nordic scrollwork.

Only 500 of the limited edition 1911 are available. Correspondingly, each features a serial number with the THR prefix, denoting Thor, the god of thunder.
