With so many new shooters exercising their Second Amendment rights, companies are finding ways to reduce prices and win these new customers. One such company is Girsan, which recently introduced its MC9 Disruptor in 9mm. The new model boasts reliability and durability as well as a robust feature set—with a sub $400 price tag.

The Budget-Friendly Girsan MC9 Disruptor

Building on a polymer frame, the Disruptor is a striker-fired pistol weighing in at a concealed carry-friendly 1.4 pounds overall. Providing users with something other than another black or FDE firearm, the pistol comes in either a Black Camo or OD Green Camo finish. Correspondingly, the finish continues onto the slide for a seamless presentation.

The ergonomic grip on the Disruptor features texturing on both sides and the front and back straps for secure retention. Similarly, the high-cut trigger guard and beavertail grip promote a high grip for enhanced recoil mitigation. Likewise, to ensure the proper fit, the grip also features interchangeable backstraps.

Just forward of the square, textured trigger guard is a three-slot Picatinny rail for attaching a light or laser. In addition, the Disruptor is lefty-friendly with its ambidextrous slide stop and reversible magazine release.

Riding atop the frame is the steel slide with rear cocking serrations and a small swatch of press check serrations up front. Providing the aiming solution are modern low-profile sights and an optic cut for the RMS/RMSc footprint. However, it is worth noting that the rear sight is mounted to the optic plate. So, if you install an optic, you will no longer have the use of iron sights.

Within the slide is a 4.6-inch threaded barrel chambered in 9mm. As a result, the Disruptor can be run suppressed or compensated. According to the company, the pistol boasts an upgraded striker trigger for a smooth and responsive shooting experience with a 17+1 overall capacity.
