Rossi LWC: The Single-Shot, Lightweight Carbine for Hunting Camp

Let’s be honest here–more is usually better. More power, more magazine capacity, more features: we shooters usually love more. But Rossi is banking there’s still plenty of shooters that can appreciate that sometimes less is actually more. Enter the Rossi LWC.

Rossi LWC: Lightweight Carbine

The Lightweight Carbine debuts the next single-shot rifle line from Rossi. But the “less” on this line really doesn’t describe this modern take on the classic break-open, single-shot rifle. Instead, it comes packed with a smart collection of features and components likely to grab the attention of the contemporary hunter.

The LWC features a threaded barrel across the entire family of variants. Built to add a suppressor, the selection of cartridge chamberings include .350 Legend, .300 Blackout, 5.56, 6.5 Creedmoor, .357 Magnum, .44 Magnum, and 8.6 Blackout.

A polymer stock, Picatinny rail and 16.5-inch hammer-forged barrel provide a solid backbone. A crossbolt safety and transfer bar safety make the package safe and user-friendly. Complete with sling mounts and topped with a red dot and suppressor-ready, the LWC should find use in hunting camp, as a truck gun, or anywhere a dependable rifle is used.

Editor’s Note:

A lot of experienced shooters started out with a trusty single-shot rifle or shotgun in the stable. It made for easy learning and memorable first trips afield. But for the modern shooter, a lot of those ol’ trusty single-shots fall a little short. The Rossi LWC seems to do a great job of incorporating what today’s younger shooters desire, including a red dot and a can. With an assortment of cartridges capable of taking down game without punishing the shooter, these rifles promise to be fun on the range as well.
