Kimber just announced its latest pistol developed specifically for everyday carry, an addition to the popular KDS9c platform. The new Kimber CDS9 packs up to 15 rounds into a micro-compact platform, creating a capable, highly concealable semi-auto for EDC.

Kimber CDS9 Details

Kimber went back to the drawing board, taking look at every detail of this pistol from the hammer to the muzzle. The resulting package delivers a small, lightweight platform with magazine capacities of 13 and 15 rounds included. A flush-fit 10-round magazine offers even greater concealment potential.

The full-featured platform includes an accessory rail for lights and laser accessories. An ambidextrous safety and slide release come standard, along with a reversible magazine release. G10 grips and an alloy frame options come with each model. Kimber also offers a threaded barrel with the TFS model. Extended grip 10-round models are planned for release in restrictive locales.

The CDS9, the next generation of the KDS9c family, represents Kimber’s commitment to concealed carry. The new pistol employs Kimber’s popular trigger, exhibiting 1911 influence with straight-pull characteristics, utilizing a flat-faced trigger and classic trigger bow. It delivers a solid wall and crisp break, according to Kimber. Premium sights also come standard from TAG, featuring a locking front fiber-optic and tactical rear sights.
