The Beretta 92 has been a classic since it went into service in 1976. Since that time, we have enjoyed several evolutions of the 92. One that has not caught my eye is one of the most unique yet. The Beretta 92XI Vietnam Tiger Stripe
Beretta USA has partnered with Howe Arms to build the limited-edition 92XI American Combat series. Founded by Richard Howe, a two-tour Army combat veteran who served in Afghanistan, Howe Arms is more than a business—it serves as a support system for disabled combat veterans and their families, offering purpose and assistance.
Beretta 92XI Vietnam Tiger Stripe
The Beretta 92XI Combat Series pays homage to the heritage of military camouflage patterns, recognizing the vital role these patterns play in enhancing soldier concealment and mission success. Each pistol in this exclusive collection is meticulously hand-painted by a disabled veteran artist. Featuring iconic American combat camouflage patterns, like Vietnam Tiger Stripe, Chocolate Chip, Battle Dress Uniform (BDU), Desert Camouflage Uniform (DCU), and Multicam, each piece represents a story of sacrifice and service. Together, Beretta and Howe Arms honor the courage and dedication of those who have served. Today, we are looking at the Vietnam Tiger Stripe.
Custom Paint
The 92XI Combat series features the 92XI Single-Action Only (SAO) pistols. The 92XI brings the long-awaited frame-mounted safety to the standard 92 family of products, as well as a single action-only variant and various ergonomic enhancements. The frame-mounted safety offers an ambidextrous solution, bringing the safety lever more in reach with natural ergonomics.
The 92XI features the X-treme-S single action only and flat-faced trigger, performance DLC coated trigger components, and a lightweight skeletonized hammer. This allows for a crisp trigger pull with the option to go cocked and locked. The 92XI carries forward the Vertec style frame, a fiber optic front sight for faster sight acquisition, and the option for red dot optics mounting.
A Solid Addition to Your Collection
The pistol also has a checkered frame with enhanced grip panel texturing. This aggressive texturing helps maintain a consistent recoil management and shot placement grip.  It also has an ambidextrous frame-mounted safety. It is designed to be optimized for competition and quickly engaged or disengaged. The custom paint on this gun, however, is what really stands out. It is the best of both worlds—an excellent 92XI that is an equal parts piece of art. The Beretta 92XI Vietnam Tiger Stripe would be a great addition to your collection.
