When the SP101 revolver was introduced to the market, it was only available with a stainless finish. While stainless is pretty, some prefer more choices in finish. Now, shooters have the option of a blued Ruger SP101 in .357 Magnum.

“As the first blued alloy model in this family of revolvers, this new configuration sets itself apart from other SP101s and makes for a great compact and rugged carry firearm,” said Chris Killoy, Ruger President & CEO. “We have had several customer requests for this new model and we are pleased to add it to the lineup.”
Ruger manufacturers this five-round, small-frame, blued double-action revolver from alloy steel. It features a 2.25-inch barrel, integral rear sight and ramped front sight. It also comes with Ruger’s triple-locking cylinder, which locks the cylinder from the front, rear and bottom for reliability and durability.
Shooters can fire this blued, 26-ounce SP101 in either single- or double-action mode. Its cushioned rubber grip provides purchase, while reducing felt recoil. Additionally, its patented grip frame accommodates a variety of custom grips. This allows shooters to customize the grip to their needs. Even better, the SP101 comes with a patented transfer bar mechanism to prevent accidental discharge, even when dropped.
Ruger has a well-deserved reputation of producing firearms, both long guns and handguns, popular with shooters. And the blued Ruger SP101 in .357 Magnum simply continues the company’s tradition of offering shooters what they want.
