Smith & Wesson M&P 9 owners can now add capacity to their pistols with the Samson Magazine Extension.
The Samson Contour Magazine Extension increases magazine capacity in the M&P 9 by three rounds without changing out the factory spring. As such, the parts are interchangeable with all Smith & Wesson M&P and M&P 2.0 9mm pistols.

“Our Carry Contour magazine extensions have been designed with input from professional instructors in the firearms training industry,” said Tim Mulverhill, Samson’s chief operating officer. “Every cut and contour represent a functional detail that will keep you in the fight.”
The profile of the Samson Contour Magazine Extension aids clearing malfunctions and with one-handed manipulations. Its weight also helps the magazine drop clear of the pistol.
Samson builds the extension in New Hampshire out of 6061-T6 Aluminum. It is also hard-coat anodized for long-lasting durability.
According to Samson, the M&P Contour Magazine Extension is the “go to” extension for those who carry a M&P for serious work. A .40-caliber version is in the works.
