.FN just released two popular pistols in what has arguably become the company’s trademark finish. The FN Five-seveN and 503 Micro Compact now come in FN’s signature Flat Dark Earth finish, in response to numerous customer requests.
FN Five-seveN, 503 Micro Compact in FDE
“Today’s gun buyer is looking for variety and options, not just with accessories but with color variants that stand out in unique and noticeable ways,” Chris Cole, vice president of sales and marketing for FN America, said at the time. “FN’s all-FDE models certainly stand out and we feel that these new releases in our signature color give consumers greater options to further customize, and personalize, their gun and gear setups.”

FN Five-seveN FDE
FN first began producing the unique Five-seveN two decades ago. The. platform claims service with allied armies, law enforcement and civilians alike.
Now the platform gets FN’s flat dark earth finish to the frame and slide. The pistol retains the NATO-standardized 5.7x28mm cartridge, firing from a chrome-lined cold hammer-forged barrel. Accurate and exhibiting minimal recoil, the pistol utilizes an internal hammer and smooth trigger. The all-new FDE Five-seveN comes with 10- or 20-round magazines.

FN 503 Micro Compact

Built to carry, the 503 Micro Compact also now comes in FDE. The 503 delivers full-height grip stippling and an enhanced trigger, breaking at 5.5 pounds. It proves controllable and accurate, according to FN. Discreet and comfortable, the 503 carry easily thanks to a slim profile. It also comes snag-free with a three-dot sight system.
