Best known for its quality rifle lineup which includes the M762, Kivaari, and Paratus, Georgia-based manufacturer DRD Tactical is wading into the world of pistols for the very first time with the launch of its Ferro handgun for 2018.

The DRD Tactical Ferro is a 9mm striker-fired semi-automatic pistol with a frame, slide and barrel which are all made from stainless steel. You have two choices when it comes to the barrel: a non-threaded 4.48-inch version or a threaded 4.88-inch version. The pistol comes standard with an Apex Tactical Specialties trigger. Also included is an extended slide lock and magazine release, as well as a set of night sights.
In addition, the Ferro features an empty weight of three to three and a half pounds, depending on the options. It also ships out with three Magpul 17-round GL9 magazines.
Offered in either a black nitride or NiB Battleworn finish, the DRD Tactical Ferro—which the company says is geared toward competition shooters—is priced at $2,995. Look for the gun to begin shipping in the spring.
