The new mags are made from 410 stainless steel. In the press release, STI says this results in a magazine that has a “longer life, greater strength and better corrosion resistance.” Meanwhile, the magazines boast a one-piece construction for improved feeding and reliability. They feature a new follower and feed lip design to give you a smooth transition from magazine to chamber. In addition, the mag body sports round count indicators so you can see the rounds remaining, while the caliber is stamped on the front to make the magazine caliber easily identifiable.
According to STI, these new 2011 magazines are built on presses that have three times the force of traditional presses, providing cleaner stamping and more precise lines. They’re designed specifically for all STI 2011 style pistols and frames, and, when combined with the company’s original 2011 technology that provides flat shooting, reduced recoil and faster follow up shots, the new magazines offer “higher round counts and flawless shots every time,” STI says.
STI’s new 2011 magazine lineup is available for $74.99.
