The sun rose across the rolling hills and jagged rocks of Southeastern Wyoming. The cloudless, clear blue sky was tempered by the cool 27-degree temperature. Even in this cool early morning, the ranch was buzzing with activity. Vehicles were being loaded as everyone enjoyed a world-class breakfast. Laughter and excitement were the norm as we prepared for the day. This is the first day of the 2025 Athlon Outdoors Rendezvous, and it was starting off great.

The 2025 Athon Outdoors Rendezvous is Rolling! Here is a Look at Day One!

This year’s Rendezvous is being held at Brush Creek Ranch near Saratoga, Wyoming. The facilities are world-class, and that carries over to the range. All of our stations and bays were covered and heated. The range had pre-existing steel targets already set, and it was a plug-and-play range session.

Each year, we are honored to invite a number of the industry’s best companies, and the 2025 Athon Outdoors Rendezvous would hold that same standard. On day one, we got to work with Kimber, Rugged Suppressors, Meorpolight, SAR, Armasight, Sig Optics, and Dead Air Silencers. Each company brought a variety of products as well as several new secret items that we will share with you soon.

The Range is Hot!

At 9:00 am sharp, the range master called out, “Range is Hot,” and the lead started flying downrange. The stations were full of writers and staff getting trigger time and one-on-one time with the reps. We all asked countless questions and soaked in the presentations the companies provided. Pretending this was a somber business event simply would not be true though. Both the writers and companies were smiling, laughing, and enjoying something more than just a media event.

The sheer number of products, from suppressed full-auto 300 Blackout rifles to cutting-edge optics, was overwhelming. However, this is where Rendezvous’s unique nature shines. Each writer received assignments on specific items on the range today. With that, you will soon see solid coverage of products from day one hitting the site. The 2025 Athon Outdoors Rendezvous provides an exceptional opportunity for writers to experience a vast array of products firsthand.

Fun on The Range and Off The Range

After visiting all the stations and answering all questions, everyone gathered in a cowboy dining area and enjoyed a Wyoming-catered lunch under the vast open sky. As with all things Rendezvous, though, discussions about products and upcoming designs filled the air. In time, the shuttles arrived, and everyone climbed aboard for the short drive back to the lodge.

Day one was a big success. Thousands of rounds were fired, friendships grew, and content was developed. There are few better ways to spend your day. As I write this, everyone of getting ready to head out for a Brush Creek Ranch activity. Some will climb in the saddle and hit the trails, some will take a Ranger tour of the property, and some will visit the spa. As I said, this isn’t your grandpa’s media event.
