BlackHawk Street: With the Street series, BlackHawk created lightweight, versatile and comfortable boots for professionals featuring YKK zippers for easy on/off use. The boots also use memory foam technology, NATO lacing, 1,000-denier nylon and embossed leather for protection. They come in black and coyote tan.
BlackHawk Defense: These waterproof, breathable boots are designed for active law enforcement users in black or military operators in coyote tan. The leather and textile uppers sit atop aggressive Vibram outsoles, and the boots use the NATO lacing system. Several sizes are available to fit a wide variety of users.
BlackHawk Terrain Mid: These mid-cut boots work well for training and missions. These breathable boots are available in black or brown with TPU molded pieces, non-slip rubber outsoles and lightweight mesh uppers. These are heavy-duty shoes that can work well for serious work and play without restricting your movement. A low-top version is also available.
BlackHawk V3: These tactical boots sport Vibram outsoles, Ortholite insoles, waterproof Hydroguards and Breath Right moisture-wicking membranes with the fast-to-use NATO lacing system. An added bonus of the V3 is a Lycra lateral pocket in each boot. Both men’s and women’s sizes are available.
Danner Reckoning: Danner’s Reckoning boots are made for our military. These Berry-compliant boots meet AR 670-1 requirements, and they’re built with leather and lightweight 1,000-denier nylon. These boots are completely breathable with a double-rivet speed lacing system, Danner Vibram outsoles and built-in construction for superior grip for roping and climbing.
Danner Powderhorn: Danner’s new Powderhorn boots offer rugged, full-grain leather uppers and Gore-Tex liners. The Bi-Fit integrated shank system improves firmness in the heel and allows for better flexibility in the forefoot. Stitch-down construction and deep-lugged outsoles provide superior durability and traction. Powderhorn boots are available uninsulated or with 3M Thinsulate linings.
Danner Vital: Danner’s new Vital boots give hunters shoes that can deal with vast changes in weather and terrain. The Vital series builds on Danner’s legendary build quality, as the boots are made from abrasion-resistant leather and textiles. Each forefoot is designed to reduce noise. The boots are also waterproof and sport Danner’s Plyolite midsoles and aggressive outsoles. Vitals come in various colors to suit your tastes.
Dickies Javelin: Dickies’ new Javelin tactical boots feature leather uppers with nylon panels, and they’re lined with moisture-wicking performance fabric. They also have removable EVA insoles, lightweight EVA midsoles, oil- and slip-resistant rubber outsoles, and they are available with ASTM-rated steel toes with electric hazard protection.
LOWA Arco GTX Mid: Step up your style factor with these trekkers, which are light in weight only. Featuring climbing-inspired details, embossed split-leather uppers and on-trend colors, these mid-height boots are also loaded with technical details, including Lowa’s proven Elika outsoles and Gore-Tex linings, and the shoes feature strap lacing to keep weight down.
LOWA Tibet Superwarm GTX: The Tibet Superwarm GTX combines LOWA’s top-of-line backpacking boot design with a new Vibram Mottarone Arctic Grip slip-resistant sole. These boots are feature-laden and ideal for carrying a large pack while hunting over rugged terrain in cold and icy weather. The water-repellent Nubuck and buffalo uppers are lined with both Gore-Tex Duratherm for waterproofness and breathability and PrimaLoft 400 insulation for double the warmth. The outsoles are both crampon and snow-spike compatible.
Muck Arctic Ice: These extreme-conditions winter boots feature Vibram Arctic Grip outsoles with Icetrek base layers for superior traction in cold, wet, slippery and dry ice conditions. Muck is the first rubber/neoprene boot brand to offer Vibram outsoles. The Arctic Ice features 8mm of CR Flex Foam and a fleece lining wrapped in a soft rubber outer layer so your feet will stay warm and dry.
Muck Arctic Outpost: Developed with versatility in mind, the Arctic Outpost collection delivers all of the protection and comfort Muck is known for, but with a more sophisticated look that makes it perfect to wear for work and play. Propper Series 100 Waterproof: Propper is now offering both 6- and 8-inch Series 100 boots with waterproof leather exteriors and 1,000-denier Cordura uppers that can be pulled snug with the quick and easy NATO speed-lace system. A special gusset behind the zipper helps keep water out while the triple-density rubber foundation will hold up to the rigors of fast-roping. Several sizes are available in black and coyote tan.
Propper Series 300: Propper’s Series 300 boots feature mil-spec split-leather cattle hide uppers for a sharp uniform look, and they’re proudly made in the U.S. to meet all AR670-1 and Berry regulations for U.S. military use. These boots are available in both 6- and 8-inch versions in black and coyote tan. Various sizes are available.
Ridge Dura-Max: The Dura-Max line from Ridge Footwear saw a host of improvements, including changes to the boot collars for more flexibility and the addition of air/water vents for better breathability. The soles have also been improved for greater durability and are now completely stitched to the uppers. Black, desert tan and coyote variants are available with and without zippers for easy on/off use.
Rocky C7 CXT: Rocky’s C7 duty boots aren’t new to anyone in the military, but the company is now bringing them to the civilian and law enforcement markets for purchase, and the new C7 CXT versions improve upon the earlier C7s by being lighter. The ultralight C7 CXT boots are fully compliant with GSA/TAA regulations. Each boot weighs less than 15 ounces with Vibram rubber outsoles, Ortholite insoles and speed laces.
Rocky Alpha Tac: Available in 6- and 8-inch versions, these duty boot feature polished, full-grain leather vamps with open-cell polyurethane uppers, rubber heels and arches. The boots have YKK locking zippers for easy on/off action, and they’re treaded with dual-density EVA/rubber multi-directional outsoles. The insoles are removable, and the boots are waterproof thanks to Rocky’s own VP treatment.
Rothco 5087 V-Motion: These V-Motion boots offer next-level mobility and agility. Nylon runs from side to side over the top of the toes, allowing for greater out-of-the-box flexibility. These 8-inch tactical boots feature eight-eyelet lace systems with four speed laces and side zippers for quick and easy fitting. For added comfort, each V-Motion boot is equipped with a removable cushioned sole.
Rothco 5361 Forced Entry: These boots are completely military compliant, with a height of 8 inches, leather and nylon uppers, plain toes, rubber outsoles matching the uppers in color, synthetic linings and soles that don’t extend over the toe. Other features of these combat boots include double side vents, seven-eyelet lace systems, padded collars for additional support and removable insoles.
Zamberlan Defense GTX: These tall boots feature uppers made of full-grain, Hydrobloc-treated leather and Cordura to provide sturdiness and flexibility in the field. The Gore-Tex lining ensures waterproof breathability while the Vibram Futura outsole, heel TPU stabilizer and double-density EVA wedge ensure traction, lightness and shock absorption.
This year has seen a wide variety of new boots introduced to the world. Both major and minor manufacturers from around the world used significant technology improvements both in materials and the manufacturing process to enhance long-trusted designs and create bold new boots that are lighter, stronger and more comfortable than anything we’ve ever known.
